Modesty in Medical Settings

Sorry, I didn't mean to infer nurses are blue collar but rather the career options men are choosing pay less than nurses earn. My key point is that if someone wants to make a lot of money in these parts, nursing is one of the best options they can choose. There is not a lot of demand for people with 4 year degrees otherwise outside of the schools, and the average teacher certainly doesn't make $75K. Not even close.

Since age 18 or so I've only been to my obgyn for well woman visits so I don't know about gowns in other types of doctors' offices, but his office's paper gowns are the worst. They're 2 pieces and the back of the bottom part doesn't cover all sides. Then the front part never stays closed, so when I get up after the exam to talk to him, I usually end up exposing myself a few times unless I hold it closed with my hand the whole time. I tried to just wear a button-down dress last time but ended up having to wear the gross 2 piece gown anyway! I wonder if other patients ever try to get away with that but I'll keep going because I finally found a doctor I like so I guess I'll have wear that very immodest gown once a year.

I give-off a very bad vibe to most women.....and it impacts the type of service I get from them.

So I choose, if at all possible, to go to men only for any of the services I receive....get treated much better. And yes, for the most part, it solves the modesty-problem.
