$5 an hour? that sounds like a joke! why do they expect him to make so little?

I know someone who is a self-employed carpenter....this person can do just about anything--from flooring to cabinets, minor electricity/plumbing....a real well rounded person in the field....he charges $25/hr and works alone....

They have all the regular places but I think Costco pizza beats most Pizza Places unless it is Papa Johns.
Costco Pizza! Those 2 words should never be joined in the same sentence. Boston's is better in my humble (cough cough) east coast opinion.

I wouldn't choose Foodland.com to determine the cost of food in Hawaii. Foodland is a rip off. It's popular because it's intelligently placed in rural areas.

sorry, i disagree. the prices are comparable to other grocery stores. and, would you consider kailua, o'ahu to and the ala moana center locations to be, "intelligently placed in rural areas."?

I have been looking at jobs in hawaii and they are higher salaries one position will give me about 20,000 more a year. This is not as much as California or the west coast they would pay about 30000 more for the same job.

That's a few stores out of their entire chain, which is, like I said, located in rural areas.
Safeway, Costco, Times, Star - All cheaper.
