I would like to know if Hawaii have any coronavirus? If so, how bad is it there? Is it bad enough that people from other states or countries shouldn't travel there?
I know a group of people who will be leaving tomorrow and they're going to Honolulu. I'd like to know if there is a good chance that they will be stuck in Hawaii or not? Will they need to be quarantined or not?
Still, the number of cases appears to be much lower than in some other states.
Some people are canceling their vacations, as is evidenced by rooms opening up at various locations and the price of rentals dropping in recent weeks (though the prices have been stabilizing in recent days).
Fewer people traveling to Hawaii would probably mean a lower infection rate, though the State's economy would suffer for it.
The military just limited travel for service members (and their families on official government travel) within the US to the "local area" until May 11, so you will have more service members sticking around the islands. But you'll also have fewer service members traveling to the islands for vacation (and they have stopped PCS travel to and from the State during that period also). I'm currently scheduled to arrive on Oahu on June 3 for vacation. Hopefully, the travel restrictions have not been extended by then.
So far 6 cases - which given the volume of visitors seems very low. Hoping the warm weather is having an impact - on the mainland, northern states seem to have it worse also.....

Lack of testing to define cases. It's most certainly much more prevalent.

Eh, much more prevalent may not mean what you think it does. Even in countries like South Korea where they are testing many, many more people than we are, they only have a positive confirmation rate of 3-4%. Our testing so far has had a positive confirmation rate of 2%.

Where did you find the 2% rate? That's encouraging.
Washington state is around 8%. They may be ahead of other states with testing, I don't know.
Number of Individuals Tested (As of today, March 15)
Positive 642
Negative 7122
I just don't think anyone should rely on the confirmed test results in their area to equal the presence of the virus in the community.
