Is there a map of the entire projected Beltway with dotted lines showing completion dates for each segment, such as exist for most segmented road projects?

You may want to add a space between the link and your emoji. The url link takes you to a 404 not found page because the emoji code is stuck right next to it.
Continued construction on the eastern loop (I-840 / I-785) the entire eastern section of the loop will be completed by 2018. Part of the eastern loop, from I-85 to hwy 70 has been open for a number of years.
Man, I got caught up in stop and go traffic yesterday(and was extremely late).., my thoughts? traffic on the death valley stretch of 40 is absolutely awful, nothing but stop and go situations in both directions, in fact traffic has worsened over the years since I first moved to greensboro, the interstates have become very clogged, and not just around rush hour.
Before, I only noticed traffic was only relitively heavy around 5pm, but now it's become heavy throughout the day, and some motorist have been complaining. U.S 29 for instance, I always try to avoid the stretch that bypasses downtown, it's a dang a nightmare, it's only four lanes and can no way in hell handel that volume of traffic efficiently, which is why it stays backed up. I remember mistakenly running into rush hour conjestion and spent 1 hour in the fast lane creeping towards the gate city area.
The urban loop is really going to help out with the growing traffic conjestion. Also relieving conjestion around major arteries.
I really can't see how raileigh and charlotte can deal with their conjestion. And never did I think greensboro would have major conjestion problems, but at the end of the day.. cities grow, we're nearing 300 thousands residents, people work here from out of town/state, it's only natural how high traffic conjestion levels have risen, I think this is why the state really pushed this project, but I could be wrong. All in all, it's great news for greensboro, the triad and the region.
Okay. So is US 29 north of the Beltway, a freeway to Virginia? I understand U.S. 220 is being transformed into a freeway/interstate to VA?
US 29 is planned to be upgraded to I-785 between G'boro and Danville, but no funding exists for actually doing a majority of the work. A short section of I-785 exists in Danville, and the new G'boro outer loop will carry both the I-840 and I-785 designation from I-85 to US 29. The section in between is not on NCDOT's funding plan.
