"City of Greensboro could fast-track mega site engineering work"
They're seriously working their butts off on securing that Auto manufacture facility, but like billy jones said, there needs to be a steel mill in Greensboro, i hope they go and build one. It takes baby steps and without having to outsource for steel, they can greater secure interest from a plant proposal.

I saw the Greensboro water/sewer boundary lines on the map. It comes really close to the auto plant site. If you want a glimpse of Greensboro's future city limit boundaries, all you have to do is look at the water sewer boundaries. While the site is technically in Randolph County on the county line, it would still be considered Greensboro. But I'm guessing Greensboro will annex the site across the county line since it will be providing water and sewer. Its not uncommon for cities to annex across county lines. High Point has annex territory in Davidson County and Kernersville has annexed territory in Guilford County.
Here is the map showing the current Greensboro water and sewer boundaries in relationship to the auto plant site. The entire water sewer boundary map is found on the city of Greensboro website. If Greensboro annexes all the water/sewer areas, Greensboro will be more than 20 miles across in size.
That's interesting about the annexation, But i thought carolina cities were not allowed to annex anymore? that's why i thought they could only run water/sewer lines to the site.

Huh? A "local" steel mill is not a prerequisite to attracting an auto assembly plant. Thats not even on the car manufacturers radar.
