I didn't even know there was such a company as S2. I was thinking more along the lines of motor boats such as the ones made by Evinrude, Mercury, and Ranger.

Don't Evinrude and Mercury make motors more so than boats?

I don't know. I just think it could be part of Michigan's revival, economically speaking.

S2 makes big yachts like Tiara and Pursuit. I wanna say they were up to 500 or 600 employees in Holland before the global luxury boat market took a dive a year or so ago. I think they'll be back up again. Can't stop the rise of the upper class in Asia and the Middle East.

I just want to see Michigan as a whole make a comeback for the better.

what a great skyline! i live about three hours away across the border in london, and i never knew this city existed exept for the griffens hockey team.
i bet the same is said about london to people of grand rapids.
grand rapids has a bigger skyline, but london is right up there in height.

Downtown GR at sunrise this morning. Risked my life to pull over on the side of I-196 for this one.

I've enjoyed all the pics in this thread. I wish there were more!

Anyone got any newer GR pics? Any new developments or anything going on?

Here are a few from the google (someday I'll take some myself!)

These pictures are beautiful. I am originally from New York, and remember the first time I saw Lake Michigan. It was SO BIG, I thought I'd just faint. The one of the most magnificent natural bodies of water. That was in 1985. Still awesome to me. There is a nice place in Muskegon called Heritage Landing. Every summer/fall they have bands, Irish Day (for everyone) just all kinds of fun things.
