Ampitheater project delayed 6 months. I don't necessarily agree downtown needs another venue, but the folks at Grand Action believe so. The state just committed $30million to the project so they are finalizing details on the design before they complete the sale of the land.

Grand Rapids based Acrisure has bought the naming rights for what is now Heinz Field home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seemed a little odd that an obscure GR firm would buy such high profile naming rights in a city two states away. Apparently a minority owner of the Steelers also has a stake in Acrisure so that makes a little more sense.

They have started construction of the condo tower on top of the Acrisure headquarters. This will bring some good infill to the Heartside neighborhood. I'm hoping they can develop the parking lot across the street by the arena next.

Soccer Stadium eyed for the west side. Not sure how I feel about a 7k seat stadium with such a specific use taking up such premium space.

LG Chem spending almost $2billion on expanding it's plant in Holland. That's a massive investment.

Glad you're doing these updates. I agree with you. This project seems like something you could build into the amphitheater project to me.

Another company performing ground breaking medical research headquartering on the medical mile. Pretty cool.

Very good news for GR! Let’s hope the treatments are affordable for the average person.
