I got the cutest little butter dish that's shaped like a pig from Dollar General for $5. It's my new favorite thing...it really brightened up my kitchen!!

Not a shopper, but I did need a little purse so got a small red leather one in Florence a couple years ago. For just $25 along with a matching wallet. I get so much joy out of both, and every time I see either one, all the memories of Florence and Venice come rushing back. I love seeing the word "Firenze" stamped on both.

I have some hand-made soaps from Lesbos, Greece that cost $1 each and get the same delight from them.

Sitting at an outdoor cafe, a guy was approaching patrons with clay figurines. I usually don't buy that kind of stuff but this was interesting native art. I bought one, then he said he'd give me ALL of them for $20, so I did and got some nice unusual gifts out of the purchase.

They sit above the TV and I enjoy them all the time. One holds my toothbrush in the bathroom. Simple pleasure.

Small battery powered lantern, $8 at Kmart. Wow is it bright! Lost power in a storm and was able to read at night.

Small pair of bamboo tongs for getting toast out of toaster. About a buck with free shipping from China, on eBay.

Great joy, well, maybe I would not go that far. But yeah, pretty decent.

My old electric-drill died, so I replaced it. Bought a Hyper-Tough 4volt drill/screwdriver for about $15. It is just a lightweight drill but has a lot of really nice features for the price: LED light, clutch, battery-power indicator, swivels so you can use it as a screwdriver or gun-style drill, chuck locks-out so you can torque/loosen items too hard for the motor.

Seeds, purchased with free shipping when possible or traded with others for cost of mailing.

Last year grew many vegetables from seed along with some flowers.
Discovered birds/bees liked certain flowers so planted more zinnias this year, been fun watching hummingbirds, goldfinches, butterflies, moths, bees of many kinds harvest nectar and seeds.

This year also growing sunflowers which look dramatic (rabbits ate many of those seedlings). Cardinals are waiting for those seeds which mature later, until then bees love them.
