Apparently Etsy is the most common now, but I have sold a lot of mine on Ebay. In addition, I sold much of my artwork at a local consignment retail shop. They charged me 40% but I still made good profits without doing the work. I took a class similar to the one below that was offered by the University of Washington back in the 1990s, and learned a lot about how to market and exhibit, with some valuable resources. A fellow artist friend likes to exhibit at local coffee shops with contact information and finds buyers that way.

The only way to sell your work is in gallery shows (a coffee house show can be a good 1st step) or studio open houses. No one I know makes any sales online unless you're talking inexpensive photo reproduced prints, and that's only once in a blue moon. You can't get any sense of scale of the work online and the colors are always different in person.
