momark, that is beautiful. I am glad you told us what it is, because even knowing I don't see it. My taste in art tends to run more to outdoor scenes, or most of Thomas Kinkaide's works. Simple, like me.

Thank you Evey I know it's difficult at first to see the figure because there are only two colors used and the forms are only circles and curls for the most part. But if you look toward the center of the painting and see the two large black swirls, those are her breasts. The figure is looking to her left (your right), and if you make out the form of an arm and hand draped over the top of the divan and extending down the left side of the picture, her hair is the swirls like waves along the top of the arm. It's difficult even for most people standing in front of the painting to discern the form, but once I point it out to them, they usually see it
As for mariatherese, the I love art piece is very commercial. It is exactly the kind of work my sister did for private corporate clients. That's talent.

MoMark... that is beautiful! My fiance does a lot of ink drawings and paintings in that style... your sister is truly talented!

I just have a thing for the human form, especially women. Yes, I do portraits, too. I used to be pretty good... all this talk about art really makes me want to paint again! I need to get back into "shape" and practice again. It's been so long. I feel like I never got the chance to hone my talents... So many graphic design classes, no painting classes

txgirl-your art is fantastic! I love the surreal quality it has.

ha ha i knew that was coming! so many times people ask me to do a portrait, and so many times i have made promises i couldnt keep...

unfortunately, i have so much going on right now (i'm moving in a week, finding a job, doing a website for a historical society) that i just cant make any promises to do any work for anyone just yet. i fear it would be one of those... "sure i'll do that, no problem!" and then months drag by and i've forgotten all about you and your dog, and you hate my guts. LOL

hope you understand! i find it hard as it is to just do artwork for myself. hopefully all that will change soon once i move.

(sorry)

Very lovely work, all of you. Thumbs up!
I can do representational stuff but it's nothing compared to what's been posted.
