Good luck with your training. I've heard that an anti inflammatory diet and PRP treatment could be helpful for your injury.
I was out for an 8 mile run last March and towards the end of the run I landed on the foot awkwardly and twisted it. At first I thought it was just a bad sprain but it turned out to be a small fracture, was in a boot for about 6 weeks. I think it was a freak accident as I never had suffered an injury before but I may have increased my mileage too much at that time.

Yes, the tendinitis is in the same foot. My diet is pretty good. I am not familiar with prp treatment.

I used to do halves and it would take a long time of training to feel ready. I would aim for increasing my distance and hitting 14 miles before ramping down the week before and being able to do the 13.1.

I have never had a runners high in all my years of running. I liked running but never got high.
I was Navy UDT and ran forever in BUDS and never got a high , just pain .

around 17,000 of 26,000 for 4:13. There's lots of buying entries in the big marathons this days. Keeps the events running, raises money for the pros, raises money for charity, pays for the high costs of shutting down streets in major cities and paying cops OT. Maybe it's a necessary evil. Qualifying for the age bracket 70-79 for Chicago is 4:30.
