That's just you not understanding the election process. Counties are in charge of counting the vote. The same situation occurred when Republican Brian Kemp was SoS and running for governor. Nothing was amuck there either.

Lake stacked the deck against herself by pandering to a minority group of extremists and conspiracy theorists and that's all there is to it.

This sums up the situation perfectly. The Republicans said nothing when Kemp was SOS and was running for Governor.

Not to mention she lied about the election.

This is true.

It is a general problem for the MAGA crowd. They seem incapable of reaching out beyond the base. In fact, they are highly critical of fellow Republicans who are not 100% on board with their agenda or not 100% behind the extraordinary lies they pitch about the elections. They call these people RINOs and seem to hate them more than they hate Democrats.

Unless they can break this tendency the general public will continue to reject them, and they will continue to lie about elections.

And Kari Lake didn't file a lawsuit over the way elections were run - until it was clear she had lost.

That doesn't make sense. How is someone supposed to know they lost until the elections are over?

In this case having one of the candidates running the election is not a good look.

Haha, you made the counterpoint without even realizing it.

At least two points in Kari Lake's lawsuit was based on her claim that Arizona's electoral procedures were essentially faulty as designed. She argued that the signature verification process was inadequate, based on evidence that was in her possession in April. And she argued that the mail-in-ballot procedure - in place since 1991 - violated Arizona's constitution.

In the judge's words:

Lake could have brought this challenge at any time in the last 30 years. To do so now is to invite confusion and prejudice when absolutely no explanation has been given for the unreasonable delay. Laches conclusively bars this challenge as to the instant election.
In other words, she didn't have a problem with the rules until she lost. We've all played Monopoly with someone like that, right?

Lake is following the Trump, and Rudy Giuliani procedure book when they lose. They know halfwits who listen to them won't bother sitting for hours watching a court proceeding, even read what a judge said. They only hear, "It was rigged" shut their ears after that.

There is talk about Lake running for Senate in 2024 when Kyrsten Sinema's term is over. The longer she can keep her face in the news maybe it helps her. I would be surprised if she is able to get donations from big donors especially if Prop 211 goes into effect.

I wonder how Preposition 211 which passed by 72% will effect 2024 election here. It requires anyone who spends more than 50k to disclose the original source of money. There is already a lawsuit challenge calming donors free speech is limited by this new law. Amazing to me that 72% of Arizona wants this passed that includes Republican voters yet the groups who are fighting it are republicans.

I'm all for it. We have enough dark money that are corrupting our elections.

The filing cites “evidence put forward in this case, including the changing and conflicting testimony of Maricopa officials, and sworn testimony by whistleblowers employed by Maricopa,” to show that Maricopa County failed to verify mail-in ballot signatures, failed to keep chain of custody for 300,000 ballots, and caused massive “chaos” on election day causing tabulators to reject tens of thousands of ballots, disproportionally targeting Republican voters.

lol the SC refused to overturn the 2020 election even when Trump begged them and filed multiple challenges what makes Lake think they will rule in her favor?

With that said Hobbs was sworn in this morning
She's just building her brand. In case Trump does win another term.

She probably wants to be US Secretary of State or something, and Trump is the only way she would EVER make it.
