It'd be great if Kim Klacik tried for this seat and maybe Trump would endorse her. We haven't seen her in a while and I liked her campaign videos.

The Republicans would be better off to nominate Former Governor Hogan. A moderate Republican is far superior to a Progressive Democrat.

Democratic Congressman Colin Allred of Texas's 32nd district announced he will not seek re-election to the House and instead run for Senate in Texas against Ted Cruz. Allred was first elected in 2018 and serving in his 3rd term. The 32nd district covers portion of northeast Dallas and its northeastern suburbs. The district has trended heavily Democratic in recent years, and the district became even safer for the Democrats following redistricting in order to protect surrounding swing districts the GOP held.

Democratic Congressman David Trone of Maryland's 6th district has announced he will not seek re-election to the House and instead will run for the open Senate seat as Democratic Senator Ben Cardin is retiring. Trone was first elected in 2018 and serving in his 3rd tern, The 6th district covers the most of Western Maryland and into portions of the NW D.C suburbs. The 6th district was a key part of the successful redistricting lawsuit Republicans filed which wound up getting the Maryland map overturned. The new Maryland maps wound up making the 6th less Democratic than it was previously, and while no longer a safe Democratic district, it is still a Democratic leaning district.

That's not what the people want.
The people want nominees that will champion Trumps cause.
They need to give election deniers another shot.
Come-on, one more try for old times sake.
Give us more Keri Lake types

Update time and thanks to Ford Bronco for giving me the heads up about this one earlier. Democratic Senator Tom Carper of Delaware has announced he will not seek re-election. Carper was first elected to the Senate in 2000 and serving in his 4th term. Carper has been elected statewide in Delaware for 40 years as he also served two terms as Governor and five terms in the House prior to being in the Senate. This seat is safe Democratic as Republicans really have not been competitive in Delaware since Christine O'Donnell knocked off Congressman Mike Castle in the 2010 GOP Primary for Senate. This may also result in an open seat in Delaware's At Large district in the House a Lisa Blunt Rochester is seen as a potential candidate for the Senate.

Smash posts GOP open seats in nanoseconds but has to be reminded when there’s any Democrat open seat. You should be a journalist if you aren’t already.

As much as I do post here (which is way too much when I think about it) and try to update this thread as quickly as possible, I do have a job and life outside of this board and not on top of every retirement within minutes or hours of it happening.
Regardless if it is a Republican or Democrat, regardless if it is a swing seat that is a possible pickup for one side or the other or a safe seat, my goal with this thread is simply keep an updated list of any open House Seats, open Senate seats and any Special Elections that come along the way during the cycle. This does take time and things do get missed, so as much as Ford Bronco and I may disagree I do appreciate his or anyone else for that matter giving me a heads up so I can keep this thread as updated as possible.

Republican Congressman Chris Stuart of Utah's 2nd district will be resigning due to his wife's health. Stewart was first elected in 2012 and serving in his 6th term. The 2nd district covers a portion of the SLC metro and much of western Utah. No set time on when Stewart will resign or the Special Election. The district is solidly Republican.
