Exactly. We have all had our candidate or candidates lose from time to time. It's disappointing, but it's part of life.
It's a matter of months until a new election, regroup, rethink your candidates or Policies and move on,
maybe better luck the next time.

A lot of this is California bleed. The same way NYC metro area bled into PA. Give it a decade or so, and unless major structural changes happen, you’ll see Utah turn purple, if not blue.
Yep, that's right after FOUR days they finally "found" enough votes to "win" the 2 senate races they needed. Christ this country has become a banana republic. If only I could get JUST enough money to leave America for good I would.

At a 50-50 Senate, which we currently have, the committees are likewise evenly split under the power-sharing arrangement in place.
Let us use a judicial nomination in front of the Senate Judiciary committee as an example.
Currently, if it is a tie vote split between the two parties on whether to approve the nomination and send to the Senate floor for a confirmation vote, then Schumer must go to the Senate and use a procedure called 'discharge' (involving a full vote of the Senate, with VP Harris breaking the tie) to have the nominee's confirmation removed from the committee and advanced to the floor of the Senate for yet another vote. It does consume several days of time. Even so, the Senate has confirmed 84 judges.
If the Dems win the Senate 51-49, then they will have the majority (by one) on said Judiciary Committee, and can then easily vote to send the nominee to the Senate floor for the confirmation vote.
As if stands, there are 85 vacancies in the Federal court system. There will be more during the next two years.
So, beware of those that will start saying that Warnock is now unnecessary. There will be Republicans that will advance this talk in Georgia, hoping that Warnock supporters stay home for the runoff.

Just because one don’t like a result doesn’t give one Carte Blanche just to make claims with no evidence. It is frankly pretty arrogant to believe that your candidates are so right in their beliefs that they couldn’t possibly be defeated in a fair election. And if you had been paying attention to the polls, it was pretty darn clear there were going to be a lot of close elections….it wasn’t unusual to see races polling within the margin of error. Also, Bush (R) beat Gore (D) in an election where the vote was stretched out. And finally, the Republicans will destroy this country by perpetuating lies about election outcomes and refusing to allow the peaceful transfer of power.

And yet the D’s still did pretty darn well in the midterms. What does that tell you about the R’s? I guess God’s will isn’t enough to win the Senate.
We still have a punches chance of holding the house. We need a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th but we still get a chance to step in the batters box and take our swings.

This is a phenomenon that grew up over night, on the belief that they were the majority, they were the "winners" and were stomping the "losers" into the ground by their massive appeal to the majority's righteous anger.
Now that it's quite clear they're not, I don't think many will hang around to wipe Trump's tears away. They're going to be gone, dissolved back into their factions, and their lives they way they were before 2015.
