Lol! Nothing is ever easy is it. I am for toilet paper because I personally wouldn't want the added laundry. I've never believed the 'saving the trees' theory because of the added water and detergent needed to clean reusables. I guess toilet paper could be made 'greener' if people would give up the bleaching process and accept a 'less soft' paper.
No! Let the tree huggers use it.
In fact, why bother use cloth? They should use their hand and then wash their hand afterward, like they do in certain third world countries. No storage needed.
Sort of like the custom in Mexico of putting used toilet paper in the trash can which is next to the toilet. That way it doesn't choke the sewer pipes.
Not that I would ever use them, I don't see it as any different then reusable diapers.
I also don't see why this is considered a current event. I would think people have been doing such things for centuries.
The difference for me between reusable toilet paper and reusable diapers is that the diapers are basically only used by one person. Babies probably don't carry the diseases that the adults have. The layers of poop are usually gone before they ever get washed with disposable wipes. The reusable TP wipes would be sharing between the entire family. There would be larger chunks attached because you can't dunk it in the toilet bowl like a diaper. It's one thing to share amongst your family, but what about when you have guests? You are getting some strangers cooties and possibly more infectious diseases.
We still had neighbors with no indoor plumbing back in the 70's. Even they used disposable toilet paper.

I believe most people who go this route also have a bidet. For the most part you are just using the reusable wipes to dry yourself, amd not to clean smything up.
