not for me … at best i can see maybe a mississippi riverboat cruise but to me even that seems boring as heck .
i much prefer to be on the move , where i want ,when i want doing what i want .
just booked a nice excursion yesterday.
we will spend a night at the fabulous mohegan sun casino …it’s a virtual city …we will see a fabulous top name act and eat and drink what we want . we each may take 50 bucks and gamble but we don’t really gamble much .
next day we head over to newport rhode island for two days . a beautiful spot to visit .
then we head towards home and stop for a night at the mystic aquarium and seaport…
we may stop off in norwalk and see a great show at the wall street theater there .
i much refer stuff like this to a cruise , where i am trapped at sea

We have done it all and I use to feel exactly this way. We have done VRBOs, owned nice timeshares in Lake Tahoe and Scottsdale, travelled by car across the U.S. and Europe multiple times and by rail in Europe. We had done a little cruising, which I wasn’t crazy about, mainly because of the crowds. At this stage of our lives, having done these other things, we’re starting to cruise again, mostly on smaller ships (Oceania and Silversea) with the exception of several Celebrity cruises. It’s just nice to have 1 place to sleep, have planned entertainment and excursions, and not have to worry about meals or really anything else.

We recently returned from a Caribbean cruise on Celebrity Ascent. We felt almost no motion at all. Ascent is a new ship, so maybe it has more advanced stabilizers or maybe the seas were just calm. Will be interesting to see how future cruises compare.
i think out of 2800 people about 5 of us didn’t look so good and it was calm as could be
