The "It's not like there's nothing happening in the Main Street area of Columbia" thread has a dated, inappropriate title. There's a true renaissance going on now.

Warrior Fitness has opened at 1125 Lady Street on the ground floor of The Palms apartment building. There's something going on in the CBD all the time now.

Default cool/ re: New Crossfit Gym

I was wondering what was opening there, and speaking of the Palms, I wonder what will go in the spot on the main street side of the building where chickfila used to be.

Cheers to that. Gonna try to be a part of it also. This coming Thursday is the "First Thursdays on Main" event. Hope the rain holds off but if it does I'll be down there. Never been to one.

Oops. I hadn't thought about the rain. Last night's weather report said it will probably rain more than an inch beginning around early afternoon Thursday into Friday.

It was confirmed last week that a Starbucks is definitely coming to the lobby of the NBSC building on Main and Gervais. This will be a Starbucks corporate location not a "proudly serving Starbucks" vendor.

Do you have a link? And it seems like they'd at least sell coffee if the public has access to their office.

By "Starbucks corporate" I mean that it will be a company store not a franchisee or a vendor who serves Starbucks coffee(like the Sheraton). I was told the store will open in August.

I take it you don't have anything to post about it to move it from rumor to news.
