That would give the Columbia MSA another county and highway and sidewalk improvements from the penny sales tax could be spread out over a smaller area. And when Birch County residents crossed over into Richland County they would know they've arrived somewhere.

H&M is coming to King Street in Charleston. With the Palmetto Center about to undergo conversion to dorms, it seems like the perfect time for H&M to locate on Main in the old McCrory Dollar building. That would be a HUGE coup for Main.

Brown paper is in the windows in the Elite Epicurean building where Al Amir is supposed to be opening soon. And I saw a construction company sign and heard the sounds of demolition inside The Hub, the private dorm building that used to be SCE&G's headquarters. Also, the lease sign has been removed from the window of the former Chick-Fil-A (sp) space where Cantina is supposed to be opening soon.

That is very odd. I'm not a big fan of H&M, though.
