Hello,
Does anyone have any suggestions for the best NC beach for a young couple with no kids? We've heard the beaches are family friendly which is great but that there is nothing to do at night (like after 10pm). Any towns/beaches that have a nightlife? Doesn't need to be big crazy party bar scene we just don't want the whole town to shut down at 10pm.
Thanks!

Times change. When I was part of a young couple, I had PLENTY to do at the beach, at night.

Search the forum, and You will find that Wrightsville Beach is recommended for young people. It may be more college kids than young married, though.

Kind of depends on the level of nightlife you are looking for. As Goldenage points out Wilmington will certainly have the most. The aren't long boardwalks with a lot of bars but there are places to go. There are places in and around Topsail Island. But some are also seasonal for the summer and the remaining places aren't all that crowded. Again, just depends. If you want dinner and a drink you can find somewhere to go.

Why NC, you can probably find all you can do, or care to do, at Myrtle Beach, just a few miles down the road in SC.

I had my wedding at Southern Charm in Holden Beach, NC. It was better than any of the other options we had based on our budget. The bedrooms ran $150/night and we managed to fit our entire family in this home which had 16 bedrooms. We did everything ourselves, so we saved thousands of dollars. There was room for dancing, tables and our back drop was the ocean…which was very private! It was a combination destination wedding and honeymoon all rolled up in one package. I would definitely do it again! Definitely check at Southern Charm in Holden Beach in North Carolina. The beach was beautiful and the house was amazing!
