Yes - believe in the one thing no one has ever seen take place - including God.
See if you can follow the theme here...
Genesis 1:11 - Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them”; and it was so.
Genesis 1:12 - The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:21 - God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:24 - Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”; and it was so.
Genesis 1:25 - God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 6:19 - And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.
Genesis 6:20 - Of the birds after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.
Genesis 7:14 - they and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, all sorts of birds.
Leviticus 19:19 - ‘You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.
Does this sound like a God that supports the blending of species, or an evolution from one species to another?

What I see/understand is that the creation story/narrative is spoken by God and relates to specific Days though
Spoken things are heard by people with ears to hear them
Rev 1:1**The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Rev 1:2**Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
Rev 1:3**Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
That was the 1st century…..
Or this
Mat 10:16**Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Mat 10:17**But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
To the heading:
Yes they were told be fruitful and multiply before eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge.
Yes, they were married by God Himself - Genesis 2:24 - while in Eden.
I do wonder since we don't know when Eve died, did Adam ever marry again, perhaps to a cousin.
In other words, did widowed Adam have any children with another wife ? - just a thought.

Damn! That question is going to occupy my thoughts for the rest of the day.

So if the story of Adam & Eve isn't an allegorical myth to teach a moral/spiritual principle to believers, it has to follow that incest is built in to the Divine Plan, right? That's how the world would have to be populated following the expulsion, doesn't make sense to me.
If the scriptures don't specifically say, it's not up for us to know or guess. We shouldn't play games with the scripturally unspecified and unknown. God had reasons for what was included and not included. There's plenty though that we can know and should focus on.
And as Christians, what does this have to do with Jesus and his ministry anyway? Did he ever prompt questions or discussion about Adam and Eve? No.
