He employed symbols because he wanted to teach certain great spiritual truths in such a manner as to make it difficult for his successors to attach precise interpretations and definite meanings to his words. In this way he sought to prevent successive generations from crystallizing his teaching and binding down his spiritual meanings by the dead chains of tradition and dogma. In the establishment of the only ceremony or sacrament associated with his whole life mission, Jesus took great pains to suggest his meanings rather than to commit himself to precise definitions. He did not wish to destroy the individual’s concept of divine communion by establishing a precise form; neither did he desire to limit the believer’s spiritual imagination by formally cramping it. He rather sought to set man’s reborn soul free upon the joyous wings of a new and living spiritual liberty.

179:5.5 (1942.4) Notwithstanding the Master’s effort thus to establish this new sacrament of the remembrance, those who followed after him in the intervening centuries saw to it that his express desire was effectively thwarted in that his simple spiritual symbolism of that last night in the flesh has been reduced to precise interpretations and subjected to the almost mathematical precision of a set formula. Of all Jesus’ teachings none have become more tradition-standardized.

You have the gift of the holy spirit which is part of the trinity it is the holy spirit that guilds you and it is also Jesus and God the father if you believe in the trinity. No he is not personally there with you the holy spirit is with you and he may communicate to you through the holy spirit if he chooses to do so.

I don't know how anyone could know Jesus very personally he did not have a soul before he took on the soul of a man to raise it from death. He has existed since the beginning as in John's Gospel. In the beginning was God and the Word and the Word was Jesus. There is a lot we do not know about him.God kept him a secret when he came no one knew why he was here.Satan when he tempted Jesus was completely clueless as to why Jesus was there so where the evil spirits Who would say - We know who you are why have you come?To torment us?When Jesus was crucified they thought they had won that he would die and go to hell.Jesus in triumph was given the power to raise his soul from the dead for his sacrifice and has offered it to all humanity. I don't think people give any thought to the spiritual war that is going on for souls at every moment. There was a lot more going on at the crucifixion then people see a spiritual war was being waged.

Default Jesus basically says you cannot know Him!

Nonsense. The whole reason Jesus was born as a human was so we could know Him and God's Holy Spirit which He embodied. Our ancestors did not know God and were badly misguided by their beliefs in a wrathful and vengeful War God which probably accounts for all the wrath of God and war symbolism in their beliefs. Why on earth we have reatined those beliefs for over two millennia and counting is a mystery!

No he came to restore humanity back to the father and heaven you can't just omit the fall and then say its all about knowing Jesus. All of humanity was condemned to hell for any sin in the fall Jesus came to restore humanity - what bible do you read and why did Jesus have to make the sacrifice for in your mind - just for the fun of it?You are missing so much in the theology.

He dies for every last one of your sins so you can enter heaven or do you not believe that ?You can't just make things up to suit your ideas and then call it Christianity it is what it is you either believe it or you don't.You can't change it.

There was no "Fall." There was "no condemnation to Hell." Eden was our FIRST spiritual lesson about distinguishing between Good and Evil behavior. Our FIRST lesson did not deserve any punishment and did not anger God. It put us on the path to discovering our destiny's route - the Way to eternal life as Spirit. The Bible chronicles our many early lessons, mistakes, and failures, as well as our misguided primitive misunderstandings and misinterpretations of God. Why on earth those primitive and barbaric misunderstandings and misinterpretations of God were EVER retained and perpetuated for over two millennia and counting is beyond my ken!

But when it says deep is calling to deep, I think that means that God is calling to the Spirit of God which is knit together with our own spirit.

That is, I believe, what Paul meant when he said, "His purpose in all this was that people of every culture and religion would search for this ultimate God, grope for Him in the darkness, as it were, hoping to find Him. Yet, in truth, God is not far from any of us."

The only reason I can think of, is, we strayed so far from our true state of being, spiritual things became foolish to the natural man and the foolish things of the natural minded man became easily believable, especially coupled with fear.
