You think He told them to remember eating supper with Him and NOT what He was going to do on the Cross???? What Church told you that???
The cross was His way out that is all. Did He really suffer? Remember He could make the blind see and calm a storm. Did He actually die? I seriously doubt it.
It was the thief who said “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
The "moment" HE told us to REMEMBER Him by that most have made into a "sacrament."
