Does anyone know anything about this building and the area? Is the area safe w/ things to walk to? It's between Orleans and N. Kingsbury.

It's a bit further west than I was looking to move, but the building looks great.

Thanks!

Where in the building would your unit be? The back of the building is an expressway onramp. There are some good restaurants on Ontario. It should be perfectly safe. The new Montgomery Ward Park there is nice.

Things to consider:

1) That block is long. I personally don't like long blocks when I'm a pedestrian.
2) I'm not aware of any grocery stores within a distance I'd personally want to walk carrying bags of groceries.
3) For being in the middle of the central area, it's not exactly convenient to transit. It's not horrible, but compared to more central parts of River North, your options are fewer and further away.
4) Even driving isn't super-convenient because of the River and long block, etc, but it's not too bad.

All-in-all it's a cool area, with cool warehouse buildings, and new towers that's quieter than central River North, but that quietness comes at a cost of proximity and convenience to some types of amenities.
