I have a few that were extremely sad when it happened

Anna Nicole Smith
Dana Plato
Kobe Bryant
Owen Hart (Wrestler)
John Ritter
Robin Williams
Christopher Reeve
Eddie Guerrero (Wrestler)
Last year in January Lisa Marie Presley
Just last August was Brey Wyatt (Wrestler)

I really wanted to do this post because 2 I mentioned their 25th anniversary of their passing is approaching Dana Plato (5/8/99) and Owen Hart (5/23/99)

First, two of my favorite musicians, who I used to go see often in the late 60s-early 70s when living in the By Area: Joe Cocker, who passed in 2014, and Leon Russel, in 2016.

James Doohan, "Mr. Scott" from Start-Trek, who lived here and I met a few times in a park and when his son went to school with our daughter, he passed in 2005.

Then there was TV Actress Markie Post who I knew in High School, she passed in 2021.

Meh.. You feel sorry for the families when anyone dies.. The only one that really got under my skin was long ago.. Back when Ryan White died.

He wasn't the typical celebrity that you were probably considering, but.. I always thought if anyone had a shot at making it, he did.. And.. He didn't. Really bummed me out for a long time where I thought we weren't making the progress that I thought they would.

Paul Ruebens, aka Pee Wee Herman. I used to be the one to run down the stairs on Saturday mornings to watch Pee Wee's Playhouse.

Phil Hartman. His drug-addicted, jealous wife shot and killed him and herself, leaving 2 young children behind. I had a crush on him as Captain Carl on Pee Wee's Playhouse. He was also in a TV show, News Radio, I believe, and was a cast member on Saturday Night Live for many years.

My favorite morning show twosome, Drew and Mike, back in the 80's and 90's, Mike shockingly passed away years ago. Although I was long gone from that home, when a relative sent me the news about his passing it saddened me deeply. Still bothers me. He was a riot and gave me many pleasant memories when I was in my working years.

Hartman was just shocking. I remember hearing that he died and.. I thought "Oh, he was in his 50's.. Heart Attack?" .. Found out.. He wasn't quite 50 yet, and then everything came out about how it went down. Blew my mind. You just.. Didn't hear about things like that. Sure, you had Hollywood deaths.., But, car accidents.. The only things even close to it were.. Rebecca Schaeffer and.. The little girl from Land Before Time, I believe it was, where her father killed her and her mother then himself. What was her name? Judith something.. Judith Barsi.

Ruebens was a surprise. He kept his illness well hidden. I was probably a couple of years too old for Pee Wee Herman.

I miss George Carlin and Robin Williams every day. But it was when David Crosby passed that I finally realized how fast and how often now our older rock people will be going. It will be the end of an era.

Ditto on Carlin. It's rare that a day goes by where I don't have some experience in life that reminds me of one of his bits or topics of concern. He had such brilliant presentation on serious matters.

Karen Carpenter for me. Though she died when I was a youngin I became a fan of their music later as an adult. What a crying shame that someone with so much musical talent could be so mentally screwed up to the point of self destruction. Whitney Houston is a close second.
