Questions that will be impossible to answer - Did Sands fall? Did he commit suicide? Was he murdered?
My guess is since Mr. Sands was out for a hike he fell. Now what caused that fall we may never know. Could have been anything from not watching is step, slipped, suddenly felt unwell and keeled over..
RIP. I hope that this brings some measure of peace for his family and loved ones; the pain of wondering can be unbearable.
Tell me about it. I had a friend who had a nephew missed his rendezvous from a hiking trip, was asking for our prayers......and he was in my nightly prayers for like a year and a half.
It is the kind of situation, as a friend of a friend, where you are wondering but you don't want to inquire lest you cause upset.
It was finally announced after all that time where his body had been found, he had been washed down a gully in the months before.
This story made me think of another actor who was reported missing in 2019, Charles Levin. He was mainly on tv. It was first reported that he may have committed suicide. But weeks later, they found his car stuck on a treacherous
road and determined that he fell down an embankment. His death was labeled accidental.
i'm really curious to know what he did wrong, taking a wrong turn, etc. because I grew up very close to Mt. Baldy and have relatives who know that mountain like the back of their hand. He was an experienced hiker. He may have had a medical emergency like a TIA or vertigo, or something that impaired his judgment. Thanks for posting. Hope it sheds light on the incident and his situation.
