Then why even bother to have a trial? You've already convicted him before the trial, so why take the expense of it?

This is, in principle, the United States of America. We have certain laws, certain ways to do things. We follow our rules. To not do so......makes us no better than those we call barbarian in the rest of the world.

If one doesn't like him because he was a porn star, that's fine with them......but that's not a crime but rather the First Amendment. Going after him to convict him before the trial on whatever crime one can get that seems like it might stick is really no better than those that went after Ginger Lynn in the 80s. Be very wary of the powerful who get it into their heads not to like groups of people.

I don't know if he is guilty or not but he is deserving of fair trial which includes that he has to understand what is happening to him...............otherwise, that's not America.

What are you talking about (that's not a question). You assumed alot from my short post and then you added this odd rant.

Sounds like he's been declining for at least 5 years now.

'HE LOOKED DEATHLY' Ron Jeremy was going senile in final trip with Dennis Hof convicted madam Heidi Fleiss thinks as she stands by ‘rapist’

Quote:
PORN star Ron Jeremy was already showing signs of dementia years before he was declared incompetent to stand trial on sex abuse charges, his pal Heidi Fleiss has revealed.

Last week The U.S. Sun reported that Ron Jeremy, 69, believes he is shooting sex scenes with naughty nurses at the psychiatric hospital where he’s being held.

Speaking exclusively to The U.S. Sun, Fleiss explained that she had already noticed something was not right with Jeremy the same day Bunny Ranch brothel owner Hof died in October 2018, aged 72.

“The three of us then drove down to Pahrump, where I live....

“It was a six-hour drive, the three of us together, and we were having a lot of fun, and then Dennis drops dead. It was so bizarre.

“But I did notice that Ron was walking slow, talking slow, and there were definitely signs of deterioration.

“Ron overheard me tell someone that, and he said, ‘Heidi, don’t you remember when those rich Persians in the Ferrari hit me in Beverly Hills? That’s why I’m walking slow.’

He's locked away in a state mental hospital for the foreseeable future.
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/por...al-2023-02-07/
It seems more appropriate than jail, but there's almost no hope for improvement and dementia isn't mental illness. I think most people with significant, diagnosed dementia live at home with oversight and nearly all others in nursing homes. If he'd had a wife and kids paying attention to him, his decline probably would have been caught sooner and his sick impulses blocked.

I think the charges pertaining to recent incidents (maybe 2017 through now) will be dropped, because that could be attributed to dementia alone. Any victims from that period could try suing doctors who saw Ron Jeremy and failed to diagnose his decline, and that's likely the only recourse they have.

Prosecutors should've acted many years ago. Even for Ron Jeremy, sooner would've been better. Now nobody will get a satisfying outcome.

Some alleged victims have found a way to get theirs.

According to a 2021 article, criminal charges probably include those cases.
If there are enough strong negligence cases from the Rainbow, maybe the state will file criminal charges against the business.

I've always heard he was so friendly to anyone who might go up to him and a fixture at the Rainbow. Maybe too friendly?

One has to wonder why those women were going to an employee's bathroom in the back of the place with Ron Jeremy.

I hope it's not true that they made a drink called the Ron Jeremy special with a roofie slipped in.

They were drinking -> more need to use the restroom -> Ron Jeremy probably volunteered to guide them to it and maybe even had a key needed to open it. Maybe they were hanging in a VIP area where the nearest bathroom is employees-only. If Ron hadn't walked them to it, some employees very likely would have thought they were there unauthorized.

The criminal case basically is over, with the only detail left to settle is the private facility where the very deteriorated Ron Jeremy will reside. If he did as claimed, he won't personally be punished for it.

Good luck trying to find a place to take him. Seems like they're afraid he will assault or sexually assault someone...

Jeremy has been held in the medical wing of the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown L.A. since January. Despite the abuse allegations made against Jeremy, he has not been convicted of a crime. He is unlikely to recover from his dementia and be restored to competency, according to court records, meaning he cannot be housed in a state hospital.

That left his conservator to seek to have him housed in a private medical facility with a “secured perimeter dementia” ward, according to a filing submitted to the Mental Health Court in August. As of July, however, nine such facilities refused to take Jeremy on as a patient. A Ventura County facility did consider caring for Jeremy but also ultimately rejected him, records show.

The court filings do not state a reason for the facilities' decisions. Jeremy's conservator declined to speak with The Times.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office opposed the judge's decision last week to release Jeremy, expressing concern that he might try to assault caregivers. But a judge in the Hollywood Mental Health Court overruled the prosecutor's objection.

It remains unclear exactly where Jeremy will be housed. The district attorney's office referred questions to an attorney for Jeremy's conservator, who did not return a call seeking comment.
