Anyone have experience with this? My doctor has said It is very likely that I have it. I will know more this week. I'm scared to death and would like to hear from anyone who has experience with it.

Sorry auntbee, no I don't have any experience with it. Why does your doctor suspect you have cancer? What tests did he perform?

If your diagnosis is indeed cancer, here is a very helpful site for cancer patients and their families. My prayers are with you.

I had a hysterectomy many years ago for suspected ovarian cancer. It turned out to be benign, thank goodness. I'm not sure how your doctor can tell until they actually get in there, unless he sees other spots on nearby organs. Either way, these days cancer is not the terminal illness it used to be, for many people.

I used to work with a woman who was disgnosed with Stage 4 (the worst) ovarian cancer and she is fine now, maybe 5 yrs later. There is treatment for almost anything ! My prayers are with you that it will work out.

Sorry, I know how scary it is.
I just bumped my ovarian cyst post the other day.
I had an abnormal pap smear, from what I read, it's possible it will turn into cervical cancer. I'll know more as soon as I get my records transferred to my new GYN.

What did the doctor say to you?
What tests did you have?

I had a CSA 125 and a vaginal ultrasound. My doctor said when the patient is postmenopausal and the mass is over 10 centimeters, it is usually cancerous. My mass is 14 centimeters. I also have most of the symptoms that go with ovarian cancer. He didn't say it was definitely cancer, but I know he thinks it is. I have a CAT scan on Tuesday and see the doctor again on Wednesday.

AuntBee, I have a friend that has had female cancer of every kind. She had beat it every time and is as healthy as a horse right now 15 years after her last one. Still cancer free.

If you can take a "wait and see" attitude, it could save you a lot or worry and stress. My very best wishes to you!
