Might depend on your power availability and camping style.

Some RVr's usually secure a commercial / established campsite with 50A 240v power. Others, use forest service, boondocking, county parks and fairgrounds, harvest host... where 50A or even any power or water hookups are rare. (We've used less than 5 commercial sites that would have 50A service in 30 yrs of RVing and camping.) Will be a happier camper when I have an RV that gets 30+ mpg on free fuel, as do my cars. Currently 18 - 22mpg on GAS (ick) in our Class C. Makes for some very expensive fuel days.

When you go sustainable solar, you will not be running AC, but a couple Fantastics will do a good job of cooling if in the shade and moderate climate.

32' Class C with one central AC. 9 years and it's been fine with us. During the day, I curtain off the middle and back section since we live in the front. At night, close the front vents and direct all the cool air to the bedroom.

I gotta throw in one bad thing: f*ckin' catalytic convertor thieves. I've been reading of the increased number of deaths associated with the thievery and have an "oh well" reaction.

Motorhomes tend to be easier to get under with a longer wheelbase to attain shimmy room to cut them off. The RV dealership we use for maintenance/repair is now almost totally travel trailer sales after seeing thieves make off with over a dozen CCs in one night. This at a facility that is secure. Same with us. Protected off-site facility. BARBED WIRE along the top of the fence. Thieves took ours and three others. Cops are all "wellll, we're just waiting to get the film back to be analyzed." We were handed an incident number and told "sucks, but this is what insurance is for."

The ability to protect your motorhome should also be a consideration.
