Hello!

I'm newish to Colorado, currently living in Denver but have been offered a job in Louisville (though it comes with a lot of remote flexibility, so commute isn't a huge factor). I'm thrilled because I realllllly want to get out of the city--I'm more of a more nature, less people person

I have been to Boulder a handful of times, and I currently ride horses a couple times a week up in Longmont. I really like both areas from what I've seen, but am not an expert in either. I'm looking for suggestions on where to live in the Boulder/Longmont/Louisville area?

I'm 30, single, have a couple dogs. Like quick access to outdoor activities, but also want to be in an area with good restaurants, bars, and enough similarly-aged folks to make some friends. I've heard Boulder is expensive and overrun with yuppies, and Louisville is great but only families live there. I've gotten mixed reviews on Longmont--either its full of families only, or it's experiencing growth and more young people are moving in. Is this accurate? Where would you live if budget wasn't a huge concern and you were my age?

Thank you so much for the info!

Well if that isn't stereotyping...
Yes, Boulder housing is expensive.
If budget is not a concern I would live in Boulder in a heartbeat. It has everything you are looking for.
I attended CU and would have stayed there if my job hadn't caused me to leave.
Commuting to Louisville would be easy since the traffic flow is heavy coming into Boulder in the morning and leaving Boulder in the afternoon/evening.

If budget isn't a huge concern then Boulder is a no-brainer.
