Quite often, yes. OP most likely wants multiple “normal” houses, and there’s another example of it in this thread.

If it helps, my square footage is 1/2 the national average. I’m downsizing. Judge first question later.

Can’t say I feel bad about it. Save a house for a poor sap who had the gall to be born in the 90s.

Don’t worry you have plenty of time. I was renting a small studio apartment at your age.

Hope your underwear stretches as much as your argument, otherwise you are gonna feel uncomfortable.

Wow - serious judgement on this thread.

OP - what months do you see yourself traveling outside of the Boulder area most frequently?

A studio apartment is luxury compared to what most have to do to save up a ~$100K down payment to compete in this market.

And I’m not worried for myself necessarily. I was one of the “star students” who got through university without debt and got one of the few jobs that allows enough breathing room to save for that down payment. I couldn’t afford my house now if I were just a couple years younger or had made a couple Bs in anywhere in my education. I’m speaking on the behalf of peers of mine who are having to compete with the hedge funds, foreign investors, and condescending elders exacerbating the housing crisis by artificially constricting supply.

Luckily I had an amazing economics teacher who taught us how expensive it is to be poor, so I buy the fancy stretchy kind. Your arguments fell flat with my short replies.

In summary you are bashing someone who wants to buy a second home.

Your replies are nonsensical as evidenced by the above.

So weird, my 2.7 college GPA never came up when I was buying my house

I flashed my Radio Shack Battery Club card when I went in and I was in my new house in no time...
