Thank you Neditate.

Have you been to the West End Tavern? Looks pretty there, too.

West End had a beautiful view of the Flatirons from the roof. I haven't been there in years but I've heard people complain that there is now a building blocking some of the views. It's a bar with typical bar food. IMO nothing special unless they really stepped up their game since the last time I ate there.
The rooftop at the Rio Grande has unobstructed views.
I keep hearing about Corrida https://www.corridaboulder.com/
I looked at the menu. Pricey. Very nice wine list.
I don't know if any of them are offering anything special for Mother's Day.

As of today Boulder is at level Yellow: https://www.bouldercounty.org/famili...ial-framework/
The positivity rate has risen and that could change in the next few weeks.
Restaurants are at 50% capacity so seating is limited. Most restaurants suggest reservations.

Thank you! I’m open to more places if you know of some.
Does the Rio have a balcony? From the pics it just looks like a street view.

Thank you!!!

You're welcome.
The Rio has rooftop dining but there is a building in the way there too.
I looked for a photo and found this article: https://www.travelboulder.com/boulde...da-vs-the-rio/

I love the idea of The Rio but she can’t eat peppers, so that’s not going to work out.

How about Jill’s restaurant at the St Julien? Have you ever been?

Jill's is lovely. No view if that is important though.

I thought it had a view ☹️. Came up on my ‘prettiest outdoor Boulder restaurants.’

The search continues....

There are plenty of restaurants that have outdoor seating now due to Covid. Unfortunately, outdoors doesn't mean there is a view.
Downtown Boulder is situated at the base of the foothills. If you are on a rooftop you can see the Flatirons but that's it. To get any mountain views (you didn't specify what kind of view) you have to go east of town. I'm not really familiar with restaurants out that way.

I thought of the Chautauqua Dining Hall if you can be seated on the veranda. They are taking reservations https://www.chautauqua.com/dining-hall/overview/
