Hi there,

My family is looking to move to Erie,CO.
We have two children and our daughter will enter in middle school in two years. We are interested about experiences or thoughts about Erie middle school. I made some searches on internet but the reviews are really old and not great.

We would like to know if this place is friendly too. We heard about fracking in Erie, is it still going on? Is it dangerous about the house stability? Is it noisy or does it smell? Etc...

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.
Cassie

I know 2 families that sent their kids to Erie MS and they liked it. I've never heard anything bad about it either.

There is no great answer about fracking. Yes it's in Erie, it can be loud while they drill, and sometimes smells. I don't think fracking impacts house stability. I'd suggest you and your agent ask a lot of questions and be mindful of open areas that a fracking company could set up a drill in.

The school reviews don't look too good for the Erie Middle School:

... seems approx. on par with Angevine Middle School in Lafayette (not great either):

Compare to:

Fracking: the most important I would be personally concerned about, is the quality of the drinking water and pollution in general, and less the structure of those residential "wooden barracks" :-)

Also, IMHO, Erie feels so suburbia kingdom - less urban / town feeling to it.

In the Boulder Valley School District part of Erie, the "middle school" is Meadowlark K-8.
