Let me give you some experienced advice. Don't plant your vegetable garden yet.

Sure thing. Here's another. Got word that with the colder temps the snow on the groomed runs has improved. If you enjoy skiing its probably still worth the trip, especially if you are comparing to typical east coast conditions or haven't been up much this year. With the clear skies the views today should be outstanding but check the wind before you head up.

BTW, have you been snowshoeing yet? Its a great way to get out there and enjoy the winter.

Saw this article in the paper a few days ago. Snowpack levels are near record lows for much of the state. Pretty dismal here in Central Oregon. Warm, dry weather ahead in Central Oregon; Weather Service predicts no relief for low snowpack

In Colorado, this is when we started getting apprehensive about the forest fire season. One May we still had snow on the ground when we were evacuated for four days because of a fire near Conifer. I see they're doing controlled burns to the west of Bend early this year.

Yes, beautiful morning. See next weekend is forecast back to mild and spring like so spring rollercoaster season is here.

KTVZ aired one of my kitekam pics on the 5, 6, and 11pm newscasts last night. Bendlocal, you should submit some of your great pictures.
