Towns missing all those games helped our ball-movement, and now he's returned and the ball-movement is still great and the scoring is spread and role-players continue to score big. Our offense improved significantly in the last month of the regular season, plus we have the best defense in the NBA. If anyone is eliminating the Denver Nuggets, its the Minnesota Timberwolves.

I remembered today that the now 36 year old Mike Conley was once best known as "Greg Oden's friend at OSU." 16 seasons and 100+ WS later, he's still a starter on a contending team. Goes to show you don't always know.

Denver knows now they are in for a fight. Watching ESPN's "Pardon The Interruption" Mike Wilbon stated that the Timberwolves can win this series, didn't say will, did say CAN. In the late third quarter Minnesota got on an 18-7 run and Denver never really recovered from it. Too much sloppy play, you can't mistakes against a team like the Timberwolves. The two get after it Monday night, if the Nuggets lose you can stick a fork in them.

I remember for a few seasons now I dismissed Edwards as just another high flying dunker who brought nothing else to the table. A bit like Ja Morant. I take it all back. He has developed his game immensely. He has the mid range J, the outside J, and more importantly, he has the ability to create his own shot AND create for others. That's truly elite territory now. He's not phased by the big moment; delivering over and over again in the playoffs so far. He has the dog in him, going toe to toe with KD and Booker. And he's turning into a nice defender as well, which separates him from guys like say Harden who didnt care about defense for most of his career.

At this point, I think it has to be him and SGA as the top young guards going into next season with honorable mentions to Brunson and Maxey.

Also, 2023 Playoffs versus the Nuggets, remember Edwards averaged 31.6 points per game, 2.0 blocks, 1.8 steals, shot .482 field.
New era of NBA looks fascinating, Edwards, SGA, Brunson, Maxey and Wembanyama.

Timberwolves 61, Nuggets 35 at the half. The Nuggets are getting taken to the cleaners, pressed, folded, and stored away till next season.
