Just noticed this graph a few days ago. I did not realize Austin had such a shortage of young women. Big shortages between ages 20 & 45. If we keep bumping this thread perhaps it will attract some to move here.

That graph is from the City-Data "Houses and residences" data-page for Austin. https://www.city-data.com/housing/hou...tin-Texas.html

I agree. Seven young and beautiful women to every man. One for every night. I'd be okay with that.

Yes! You are the man, Cap'n. We need to, as a community, formulate a sensible plan to reach this goal. How/what can we do? Draw fewer tech workers, and more high-end retail/entertainment? I would think the music scene here would be a magnet enough.

Now now, don't get greedy. Count yourself lucky if you have one girlfriend.

Women are attracted to money. Pay the current male population more and the womenz will come. I wouldn't mind getting a raise.

Hold up 50,000 + students at UT plus the other colleges in Austin X single women all up in down in Round Rock and P-Ville and the state workers downtown & you need more women, really. I never had a problem with finding women in ATX, wow

Isn't that always a true statement I mean when would you not want to have more women between 20 and 45???

It depends on the women, really. We could use always use more of the Texas and southern women, and fewer of the "handsome" midwestern and rust belt ones.

I don't know, some of the midwestern women up in MN/WI are very pretty: blond hair, blue eyes of the Scandinavian look as that's who settled there. They also have a cute accent.

Also don't forget California "gurls". They are always welcome here!

Too high maintenance.

Current trends in college enrollment (more women than men) may eventually fix the issue in this town. But it's always good to look for ideas in the meantime.

Don't women like to hang out with gay men? We need to make sure to make this town as gay friendly as possible. And some of you guys... well you may have to take one for the team.
