That one and John Lennon - Imagine, I think are the pinnacle of great atheist songs.
Ironically, this album "Skylarking" was produced by Todd Rundgren who I consider to have written and performed the TWO best songs of this "genre". Eastern Intrigue is stunning both lyrically and musically. God Said is a beautiful song that takes a cynical look at belief in a manner more effective than any song I've ever heard.
God Said literally sounds like God speaking to some of our Christians here on C-D. I won't mention any names but when you listen I bet some of those posters will pop into your head.
