most people charged with blasphamy in Pakistan are muslims themselves. Pakistan has free speech, and is a free country unlike Saudi or the UAE. Woman can wear whatever they want especially in the capital you see everyone in american style yoga pants and jeans.

if your reason to not come because of drinking and because muslims dont share the same faith rules as you and you are a racist, maybe go be prejuiced somewhere else because hateful people who arent open and accepting arent needed here.
Have you heard of Asia Bibi? Or Shabaz Bhatti?

To address another point you made later on in the thread, there’s a good reason why westerners are more reluctant to travel to a Muslim country, even if some of it is due to misinformation. In a good number of Muslim majority countries (though not all), it’s easy to find yourself on the wrong side of the law, whether that be due to deliberate action or pure negligence. Things like criticizing religion, drinking, showing a lot of cleavage... can all work against you in some of these countries. Comparing them to places like Brazil makes little sense as Brazil is culturally a western nation, with largely a similar outlook on life. That it’s more violent is an unfortunate situation, but hardly the deterrent you might think it is.
The issue is that the misinformation is the reason why westerners are reluctant. i agree the culture throughout South America is similar and thus many Americans are even willing to go as far as visiting the DR Congo even though that country is multitudes worse than Pakistan, just because the culture is similar and partly because sadly due to radicals many Americans are outwardly anti Muslim/Islam and are not afraid to show it. I agree you shouldn't be visiting Syria or something but Pakistan atleast the capital is not at all like that. the US embassy itself says terorrism is rare in Islamabad, the UK embassy says Pakistan has a very modern highway system, and to top it off, maybe try seeing some videos of Pakistan and it may change your mind.

But in all fairness, I understand where alot of westerners are coming from when they say they don't want to visit Pakistan as the culture is more or less the opposite as they are used too. But all I am saying is those who are brave and don't think they know all about Pakistan and Islam through FOX NEWS end up enjoying Pakistan immensely. And BTW things such as honor killings don't happen as often as you think they do if at all. In fact they are illegal in Pakistan and you can be jailed or death penalty. Due to this they are RARE in cities and fairly rare aswell in rural areas. (where 90% happen)

Lastly for the comparing India thing, I just mentioned how Pakistanis are multitudes nicer than Indians in terms of shopping in the markets and what not. As far as I have seen.

Check out this video on a westerner comparing both from a quite unbiased perspective IMO. India wins on random things such as relgious diviersity and vegan options but in others Pakistan is better.

To those of you that seriously think Pakistan is a dangerous place - this message goes to each and every single one of you. Read every word below.

#1. PAKISTAN is not AFGHANISTAN or IRAQ. Pak is the 5th most populous country in the world and has one of the best air forces in the world. PAK also has a arch-rival 5 times its size. Over 60 languages are spoken throughout Pakistan. Stop treating as if its some Afghanistan or Iraq. Pakistan will always be unique.

#2. PAKISTAN has fared extremely well against COVID compared to neighboring India. Some statistics are from this week alone. Just 2 days ago, there were over 6000 deaths in India from COVID, compared to a mere 57 in PAKISTAN.

#3. PAKISTAN was named as the #1 tourist location in the world last year by a leading American travel magazine. https://eurasiantimes.com/pakistan-r...avel-magazine/ Had PAKISTAN been so dangerous, it would never have made it.

In conclusion, after reading the responses in this thread -- PAKISTAN may be the most MISUNDERSTOOD country by North Americans. Only time will tell though.

Long Live PAKISTAN.

Pakistan should allow the US to base combat forces there again like they used to. But since Pakistan openly supports the Taliban and wants them to overthrow the current Afghan government, they are telling the US that they do not want US bases.

So what do you think will happen as a result of a stronger Taliban? I can pretty much guarantee an uptick of terrorist attacks, and some of those attacks will occur in Pakistan. Just like before.

Two percent if Pakistan's population is Hindu, and 15% in India are Muslims. In the "diverse" US, less than one percent are either of those.

The only reason I have not been to Pakistan is the visa nightmare. Only a visa agency can find its way through the red tape, you have to apply in your home country, approval takes months, have to have a n air ticket before you apply, visas are frequently declined for no apparent reason, and it's nearly impossible to visit other countries on the same trip.

I understand this has been relaxed considerabl in the past few years.

Off topic: I am also bemused in my business trips to Delhi, which has had it's share of terrorism incidents. They (Indian media) don't blame Muslim extremists, Isis, none of that. For them it's always Pakistan is to blame.
Oh, his bias is pretty clear.

Come on now. It's a pretty low bar in regard to tourism to compare Pakistan to "iraq, somalia, afghanistan".

By the way, "Pakistani" is not a race.

Blah blah.

You do realize that non-Hindus are looked down upon in Hindu India.

Sikhs are demanding for a country called Khalistan.
