No, I'm not related to the owner. I just know good food when I taste it. With prices so high for average or bad new mexican food why bother? I won't go to any New mexican place you mentioned anymore period. So,HMMMM all you want I would rather go to TAco Bell than eat at the mexican food places you have mentioned. Instead of being cynical go to Seferino's and form you own mature opinion. So ,Chap, there is the 8th post. I'll be there today for lunch. It's a shame people have the "herd mentality" and repeatadly go to the same bad or average places.

I have also mentoned Cooperage on Lomas and Wecks. I don't know the owners but go there often. More than one popular nm food places are not monitoring the flavor of their meals.

OK. We get it. You like your restaurant on Central. I think most folks understood that after the first 3 or 4 posts. Your repeated plugging just strikes me as excessive. But maybe its just me...

Exclamation New Wecks on San mateo and Lomas

My wife and I went last Saturday. The food didn't warrant the long wait. The green-chile enchiladas were bland and nothing to write home about. My wife's chicken salad was skimpy on the chicken. Needless to say this will be my last vist for breakfast.

Copelands outside of Cottonwood Mall is really good, if you like New Orleans cuisine.

There is a new Indian restaurant on Yale just south of Central (in the old Irysh Mac's Coffeshop location (previously a bike shop if you can remember back to the '80's)) called "Rasoi". Beautiful space with fantastic food. Nice Buffet at lunchtime, too.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Vick's. Some of the best food in Abq also.

India Kitchen is pretty cool. The deserts are especially good.

Scarpa's at Montgomery & Eubank (2nd location Academy & San Mateo) is good. Brick oven baked thin crust pizzas, pasta, and salads. Not fancy but nice decor, great service, and good prices. And not your traditional pizza, either - can't wait to try the NM Meat Lover (pepperoni, Italian sausage, bacon, cheddar cheese....and green chiles).

Tried Garcia's Kitchen on Eubank, I was not impressed. Bland food, average service. And it wasn't a busy time. I did like that they served blue corn tortillas, however.

Just a note on the Frontier's new hours. No longer open 24/7, the restaurant will be closing at 1am and opening at 5am. Effective today. :-(

Damn kids with their flat-brimmed caps!
