Is this even true or is this another one of those downplay the area type of deals? Saratoga Springs Schools are usually well regarded in terms of Upstate school districts.

Here is some school district information, for those interested: https://data.nysed.gov/profile.php?instid=800000038555

All NY schools are mediocre. That’s just how it is. Numbers are manipulated to keep ratings up.
Some schools can be terrible though, but in reality most are mediocre.
It’s not a big deal. They like to keep ratings inflated to keep property values and district salaries inflated. All part of the game. So yeah, for the most part, Saratoga schools are just fine.

I don’t know about that, as a whole. They can run the gamut and things can be skewed because the biggest urban SD in the country(which can vary too) is in the state. So, things may be skewed that way as well.

I also think that people may think numbers are “inflated” due to the makeup of some SD’s as well and this has been illustrated in this forum many times.

The property tax aspect and salaries are really tied to teachers and administrators in relation to requirements/unions.

To the individual you quoted/responded to, I came back at them with factual data refuting his claims.

They are fine based on what? Your opinion? Even in upstate NY it's not even a top school district (despite the so-called wealth...).

Sources aside, given how many high schools there are in the state and even the sources given, Saratoga Springs HS is still better than most on those lists(which use subjective criteria).

JimCT is the anti-Saratoga spokesman. Not sure why he is living here because he never has anything nice to say. Don't engage him...waste of intelligent conversation.

Speaking to someone whose political beliefs in Saratoga will make you a pariah....that's something nice about Saratoga. We vote Democratic. Republican led towns in NY and most areas are in the toilet.
