Remarks: EXACT DATE UNKN, JUST MONTH & YR. SMALL TRANSPORT A/C OBSVD A FLOCK OF GULLS MIDWAY DOWN RWY. THEY BEGAN TO SCATTER AS WE BEGAN T.O ROLL BUT A FEW BIRDS WERE SLOW TO CLEAR OUR FLT PATH. THE PF SNATCHED THE A/C OFF THE RWY TO AVOID HITTING THE BIRDS. HOWEVER, 1 GULL STRUCK THE R WING LE CREATING A LARGE DENT & CRACKED SKIN. WE CONTD TO CLIMB OUT OF SAFETY WINDOW, DISCUSSED THE PROBL & DECIDED TO PROCEED TO TOLEDO. RWYS WERE WARM & PROBABLY ATTRACTED BIRDS AS AIR WAS 50 DEGS. WE SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR A VEHICLE TO CHASE THE BIRDS AWAY. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS IS THAT THEY RETURN AFTER THE VEHICLE IS GONE.
