FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS DETERMINED THAT A PROP BLADE BROKE OFF IN THE HUB, THE WING FLAP, AND LANDING GEAR DOOR WERE ALSO DAMAGED. IT WILL TAKE 7 WEEKS TO FIND OUT IF THE ENGINE WAS DAMAGED AS IT WAS SENT OUT. ESTIMATED COST OF REPAIRS AT THIS TIME IS APPROX, $28,500.

Remarks: ROTATION THERE WAS A FLOCK OF BIRDS THAT FLEW ACROSS THE RWY. BIRDS FLEW UP AND THE NOSE WAS LOWERED SLIGHTLY TO TRY TO AVOID THEM. THOUGHT WE HAD AVOIDED THEM. DID NOT HEAR ANY ACTUALLY HIT A/C. ONCE WE LANDED AT DEST, WE DID A WALKAROUND. HAD IN FACT HIT APPROX 10-15 VERY SMALL BIRDS. REMAINS IN THE RADOME AND SLATS LOOKED LIKE VERY BIG BUG SPLATS. ABSOLUTELY NO BIRD REMAINS TO BE FOUND FOR COLLECTION. NO DMG TO A/C.

GEAR RETRACTED NORMALLY AND UPON LANDING AT DEST, CAPT LOCATED BIRDSTRIKE INSIDE THE AIR TO AIR HEAT EXCHANGER INLET ON LT SIDE OF A/C. NOT AN INGESTION. NO APPARENT DMG AND BIRD REMVD INTACT. APPEARED TO BE A SMALL HAWK.
