Correction: Soap was obtained and placed at the handwashing sink during the inspection. Staff member correctly washed hands.
- Pests - Controlling Pests*
Observation: Five to eight flies present in facility. Some additional cleaning needed on non-food contact surfaces and under ice machine and both lowboys, however, facility overall clean and well maintained.
Correction: Clean all areas frequently to reduce attraction to pests. Ensure floor drains are routinely cleaned and then flushed with hot water. Consult with certified pest control operator for suggestions to reduce fly presence in the facility. Eliminate harborage conditions. Insects and other pests are capable of transmitting disease to man by contaminating food and food-contact surfaces.

Overall excellent sanitation. Noted good handwashing, no bare hand contact, sanitizer in place at 100 ppm Cl and use, good milk temperatures, and overall good cleaning, area under front lowboy refrigerator needs improved cleaning. Uncertain if lights present are shatterproof. Check with maintenance, or purchase records. If lights located within the coffee service area, including over the service counter, are not shatterproof, either replace with shatterproof bulbs or provide covered lights.
- Sanitizing Solutions, Testing Devices
Observation: Using wrong test kit for testing sanitizing solution, tested ok by EHS test strips at 100 ppm Cl.
Correction: Obtain and use Cl test kit.
