Columbus: Health Care

The Columbus and Franklin County metropolitan region is served by 15 hospitals and three nationally recognized medical research facilities including The Ohio State University's Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute.

Children's Hospital, one of the country's largest children's health care institutions, conducts research on childhood illnesses and specializes in burn treatment. Among the other hospitals in Columbus are Columbus Community Hospital, Riverside Methodist Hospital, Grant Medical Center, and Doctors Hospital, the largest osteopathic teaching facility in the nation.
