- Observed 2 open packages of hot dogs and an open package of pre-cooked chicken without date labels. Per the manager the food was opened on Tuesday and was labeled during the inspection.
- Observed a tray of Gyro meat in the walk in cooler not covered. The manager covered the food during the inspection. Food should be covered during storage.
- Observed an employee use wet hands to turn the faucet off when washing hands. I discussed proper hand washing with the employee, he then washed his hands properly.
- Observed mugs for personal use. Personal drinks should have a lid with a straw and kept separate from facility food.
- Found mouse droppings in the cabinet behind the cash register. The manager showed me the facilities contract with Orkin, they made a visit to the facility today. Clean mouse droppings from the cabinet and rid the facility of extraneous items to minimize places for pests/rodents to hide.
- Observed the sink in the men's restroom to be leaking. Repair.
- Observed food debris build up around equipment, specifically around the to-go area. Clean and maintain routine cleaning.
- Observed the walls by the ice machine to have glue residue on them. Repair.
- Observed a stroller stored in the dry storage area, personal items should be kept separate from facility food/food contact surfaces.
- Observed the spray sanitizer being used at a concentration greater than 500 ppm. When buying a pre made sanitizer solution always follow the manufacturer directions. The manager filled the 3 compartment sink and made a chlorine sanitizer solution at 50-100 ppm.
- Per the manager, all employees have food handlers permits. We discussed the facility having a document that has the employee, their hire date, and the the date they completed the food handler training.
