  • 229.166 (g) (4) (B)backflow preventer. Hose connections must have proper backflow prevention. A hose connection in the taqueria did not have a hose connection vacuum breaker. Place a hose connection vacuum breaker on all hose connnections.
  • 229.163 (i) not in HWS. Hand washing sinks are for hand washing only. Observed employee wringing a rag out in the hand washing sink. If cleaning the sink, a cleaning bucket should be used to wring the rags. Spoke with individual and manager about this.
  • 229.168 (i) (1) (A) employee medicine. Employee medicines must not be stored where food, and food service items may be contaminated. For this reason, the storage of employee personal items must be in an area separate from the storage of food and/or food service items. Observed employee personal hand bags stored in with food service items (ie storage containers).
  • 229.164 (r) (1) (B) (iv) manufacturer info. Items in the establishment for self service sale without the address, city, state and zip code of distributor. All the label had was the name and the telephone number. As a minimum the label must have city, state and zip code. This is only if the establishment is listed in the phone book. Pull these items from sale until proper labeling requirements are met.

A bottle of window cleaner was observed stored above food in storage. Place all cleaning chemicals away from or below any food or food service items.
