• Harvill Poured Foundations is a complete foundation specialty company operating from the Conyers-Covington Georgia area since 1977. We have built a solid reputation in the construction business. We began in the Brick & Block Construction of foundations many years ago when our father started us working as young teenagers. In 1977 we converted to poured concrete as we feel it is a superior foundation product. Harvill Poured Foundations takes considerable care in setting up our foundations. Although not required we carefully check the placement of the home on the lot to guarantee you the best layout possible, then consult with the builder or homeowner to make sure of your wants and needs. We are careful about the footings we pour under our foundations and take a lot of pride in the fact that Brian Harvill personally oversees the placement of the house on the lot, corrects any problems left from the grading process, lays out the home and makes sure it is square and level. Then oversees the pouring of the footings. Rod Harvill oversees all the wall crews to make sure that the wall is set properly, is squared and levelled, forms are secured, that there are proper returns for a more stable wall, places the steel rebar in the walls two feet on center, and makes sure all the steel is properly tied together to certify that the rebar will hold the wall together even IF the concrete were to crack. Rod personally supervises the pouring of the concrete in the walls on each job. All our steel is tied where it joins another piece, we don't just stick those candy canes up there and let the concrete hold the steel in place, rather the steel should hold the concrete in place. We go above and beyond the minimum requirements of the city and county planning departments. In addition we vibrate all walls, this forces the concrete down all the way to the base of the wall to decrease the honeycomb of the wall, thereby providing a stronger wall. NOT ALL WALL COMPANIES DO THIS! Mark Harvill is the Corporate CEO and Sales Representative, he personally meets with all builders and home owners or buyers to make sure exactly what is needed or wanted on each job. He also prepares the estimates and manages the day to day operations of the company. Sandy Harvill is the CFO and Office Manager. We are a family owned and operated business. We take pride in all the work we do and we realize with our name on each job, the builder and the home buyer can both breath a sigh of relief knowing that they have built this home on a "HARVILL SOLID FOUNDATION" We have NEVER had to take; nor try to hide from a complaint about one of our foundations slipping, sagging, out of square, or out of level, porches pulling away from the houses, steps falling off of the porches, etc.!
