- Erie Historical Society was founded in 1984 to reserve Erie Colorado's local history Wise Homestead Museum is Western Victorian home that has been completed restored. It is one of the oldest wood framed homes in Boulder County. The home also houses a great local Erie, Colorado museum featuring many artifacts from Erie's past. Erie Biscuit Day is the Erie Historical Society's main fundraiser. The event is held every year on the third Saturday of September in Historic Downtown Erie. The biscuit day tradition goes back to 1870s and was one of the last community gatherings before the men headed back to the coal mines. http://eriehistoricalsociety.org
