Been Boxing for 10 years and currently run the boxing program at and train out of ZENERGY-Mind-Body & Fitness, located @ 1050 Morton Blvd in Kingston, NY (845) 336-2370. Zenergy features top of the line weight-lifting and cardio equipment and facilities, as well as group cardio, private training, and boxing and martial arts. Club owner Jonathan Winstral is a world champion Tenshinkan Martial Artist. We often feature special package discounts and exciting boot camp-style fitness programs.

Jonathan's enthusiasm and open-minded approach to any and all ideas to make the new program better will pay dividends in the overall performance that I, as a trainer, am able to give each student. I am very thankful for the opportunity Jonathan has given me already and hope to surpass his expectations with help from all my current and future clients. When you first come in, we'll start with the basics on how to box and include all the excellent cardio, stamina, and defense that go along with the overall workout. A typical workout consists of jumping rope (we work in rounds of 2 minutes with a minute rest like a normal boxing format), then get in the ring and learn stance and the fundamental punches and movement that you'll need to progress through the training. (A lot of footwork drills and repetition will largely work on stamina and cardio.) That will be followed by rounds on the various heavy bags and double-end bags we have, which all focus on different aspects of the sport. We always finish with an abs workout (this can be tailored to fit certain personal target areas of any individual.) Some of the programs I offer are as follows: Personal training: 1 hr for personal weight loss and specialty endurance training/ 90 minutes for specialized competition level technique and contact sparring. *The workouts are progressive in that as fast as you learn new techniques & punches, I'll introduce more to always keep things exciting. Complimentary to this personal training are the condensed and non-stop endurance cardio group classes, which are run by Jonathan and incorporate the different bags, jump rope, abs, and kickboxing techniques. *My class: Power Punch Wednesdays @ 5:3Opm is a more technically driven class, the benefit of which is maximized when taken in conjunction with my personal training. The private lessons can be scheduled @ anytime to fit your schedule. Normal hours are Monday - Friday 7 am - 7 pm & Saturdays 9 am - 3 pm. My normal private lesson package is 10 lessons for $360, which can be broken down into 10 wks if you choose. Or use at least two within a week and get credited for one of our free group classes scheduled throughout the week.Group Rates available as well. We also do a monthly ZENERGIZER membership, which allows you unlimited group classes for the month. $69 monthly with a one time enrollment fee of $69 to cover your last month's payment (30 day termination notice is required.)
