David P. Lewis MD and Brigham Eye Specialists are pleased to announce that Scott D. Turner, MD will be joing the practice In November 2007. Construction on their new office at 2850 North 2000 West will be finished in the spring of 2008. Until then, they will be seeing patients at 3615 North, State Road 126 (2000 W) Suite #2. We look forward to providing closer access for our patients in Northern Weber County and Southern Box Elder County.
Dr. Lewis is a board certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing in Brigham City for 23 years. He has expertise in cataract surgery, glaucoma, laser surgery, LASIK, pediatric ophthalmology and muscle surgery, and diabetic laser surgery. He has been Chief of Staff of the Brigham City Community Hospital; President of the Box Elder County Medical Society and currently is on the Board of Trustees of the Brigham City Community Hositial. He has also been chairman of the Ethics committee of the Utah Ophthalmology Society for many years. Dr.Lewis lives in Brigham City with his wife Sheila, and has six children. He is a member of the Brigham City Rotary Club and is a past president. He had hospital privileges at Ogden Regional Hospital, Brigham City Community Hospital, Bear River Valley Hospital, and Logan Regional Hospital.
Dr. Turner has just completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Arkansas and is trained in surgical as well as medical treatment of the eye, including catract surgery, glaucoma, LASIK, eye muscle surgery, laser treatment of the eye, etc. Dr. Turner is a native of Brigham City having graduated from Box Elder High School in 1992. He received a Bachelor Of Science degree in human biology from Brigham Young University and then entered medical school at St.Louis University At St.Louis he graduated near the top of his class as Summan Cum Laude and as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr.Turner's parents are Darrel and Colleen Turner of Perry. He and his wife, Priscilla have four children. Dr.Turner is planning on operating at McKay-Dee Hospital, Brigham City Community Hospital and at Bear River Valley Hospital.
