His work is characterized by the same enthusiasm and problem solving creativity that marked his work as the Community Affairs Director at White Galbes and before that, his career in higher education. He believes getting to know his clients is the first step of serving them well and works hard to understand their long and short term goals. People have noted, "In a way he's doing as a realtor, what he did as a college student affairs admininstrator--empowering people with respect, information and advice to help them improve the quality of their lives." In validating the comparison, Crotty acknowldged that in real estate, as in colleges and universities, the choices people make about where to live and how to use their free time really affects their personal goals and the quality of their lives. He signed with Prudential Real Estate after obtaining his state license because it has the largest reach, the most advanced technology and tools and offers agents the most training and support for agents.
